We're glad you're here. Thanks for supporting us on our mission to deliver weather that works for you.

Based on all your feedback and ideas we've rebuilt pollen.ie from the ground-up to make it easier to use, and easier for you to plan your day around.

Here's what's new:

  • It's easier than ever to jump between county forecasts. Many people in our community travel around Ireland frequently, and want to quickly hop between locations. This is just a tap away and we've had some great feedback on this already.
  • We've added more granular forecasts. Depending on the time of the year, pollen risk can be higher or lower at different times of the day or night. We've added some more detail to the multi-day forecast section so you can plan your day better.
  • We've added more of the weather - not just pollen. Our goal is for pollen.ie to become the weather app of choice for you. So we've added more conditions in our 'today' and multi-day forecasts, including full day conditions, conditions per time of day, plus temperature, humidity, wind speed, and more.
  • We've added beautiful new animated icons to help make the forecasts more visual and easier to parse. The animations are subtle and look fantastic on desktop and mobile.
  • pollen.ie is now an installable mobile app! We already receive great feed from people that subscribe to our email updates. Now, pollen.ie is even easier to access through your home screen on any mobile or desktop device (1-click install is coming to iOS soon).
  • We've made forecasts by email more personalized and engaging. Subject lines are personalised based on conditions/county and we've restructured the actual forecasts to make them easier to scan and understand.
  • We're kicking off our 'community' features with this very blog. We'll use this to address questions we frequently hear from you, and ensure you're ready for the different conditions throughout the year. This is a starting point for more community features to follow.

More coming soon, including:

  • Air Quality data and forecasts to help you understand what to do, and when to do it.
  • AI-powered allergy advice based on conditions, your locality, and time of year.
  • Integrations with social channels including Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and TikTok.
  • City/town pollen forecasts. Other weather forecasting apps offer forecasts by region. Today, we offer forecasts by county. Soon, we'll offer hyper-local pollen and air quality forecasts.

We hope you love the changes, and if you have any feedback or ideas we'd love to hear from you.
