For businesses
Listing terms
These terms apply when you claim and manage a listing in the pollen.ie allergy directory. They are written to be read, so please do.

1. Who these terms are for
These terms are between pollen.ie and the business that claims a listing. By claiming a listing, you confirm that you run the business or are allowed to manage its listing for it. The general website terms and privacy policy also apply.
2. Listings are free
Being listed, claiming your listing, editing it and seeing your numbers are free. If we offer paid options in the future, they will be optional, they will have their own terms, and we will tell you before anything changes. Your free listing will stay free.
3. Signing in
You sign in with a code or link sent to the email address on your listing. Keep access to that inbox secure, because anyone who can read it can manage the listing. If the email address changes, or you think someone else has access, tell us and we'll lock the listing until it's sorted.
4. What you're responsible for
- Keeping your details accurate and up to date, including your phone number, website and services.
- Following the rules in how the directory works. In short: no claims to cure or guarantee results, no promotion of prescription medicines, and no prices, contact details or patient stories in the description.
- Meeting the professional and legal rules that apply to your service, including any registration you need to practise.
- Only adding text you have the right to use.
5. What we can do with your listing
You give us permission to show the information in your listing on pollen.ie, in our emails and in search results. We may:
- check changes automatically and hold some for a person to review, such as a new business name or web address
- shorten, correct or rewrite text that breaks the directory rules
- label your listing as medical, complementary or information, and choose its category
- hide or remove a listing that is misleading, out of date, no longer trading or breaks these terms
We'll email you if we make a significant change to your listing or remove it, and tell you why.
6. Your numbers
Your owner page shows how many people viewed your listing, tapped to call or visit your website, or sent a message. We remove automated traffic, but the numbers are estimates. They do not include people who found your phone number and dialled it themselves.
7. Messages from the public
When someone sends a message through your listing, we pass it to the email address on your listing. Once you receive it, you are responsible for how you use and store it under data protection law. Please reply promptly and only use the person's details to answer their message.
8. No guarantees
We work to keep pollen.ie running and accurate, but we can't promise that the site will always be available or that your listing will bring you a set number of customers. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss of business or income linked to your listing, including if it is unavailable, changed or removed. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
9. Leaving the directory
You can ask us to remove your listing at any time and we'll do it within five working days. We may close a listing that breaks these terms. Either way, we will delete your owner sign-in details and keep only what we need for our records.
10. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we'll update the date at the top and, for significant changes, email listing owners at least 30 days before they apply.
11. Law
These terms are governed by Irish law, and the Irish courts have jurisdiction.
